The Fall VIB sale at Sephora is all the rage and it’s going on now through August 27, 2019. However, the catch is you must be a VIB or VIB Rouge member to receive these discounts. If you fall into one of these categories, you will receive a 15 to 20% discount on countless products. Here’s the breakdown: VIB members (those who spend $350 a year) receive a 15% discount on products, while VIB Rogue members (those who spend $1000 a year) receive a 20% discount. Some, but not many, exclusions do apply. Nevertheless, if you didn’t spend enough to participate in the sale this year, consider doing so next year, as the savings can add up if pricier items are in your rotation.
I’ve listed below my top picks for the VIB sale. I limited them, for the most part, to those items that you cannot get at Sephora’s sister store, Ulta. I have a love for both stores, but we all know that Ulta is where you’re saving money on the regular – which is precisely why many of these items are not offered there. So, without further ado, here are my picks!

I placed my Kat Von D and Laura Mercier finds together for a reason. I was a faithful user of Laura Mercier foundation and powder for YEARS, however, it seemed that every time I went into my local Sephora to replenish, they were out of the color I needed in both. Enter Kat Von D. I was admittedly skeptical of using this product but was looking for a full coverage foundation and it came highly recommended by the staff in Sephora. I also figured that if I hated it, I could always return it, so on their suggestion, I took it home. Surprisingly, I fell in love. This is the closest comparable that I have found to my favorite Laura Mercier foundation and powder duo and, with the price being easier on your pocketbook, it’s easy to purchase these items again and again. That said, I still reach for my favorites (shown below) regularly.

If you’re looking for a lighter foundation or simply something easier to apply when you’re in a hurry or don’t particularly feel like taking the time to perfectly blend a full coverage foundation, Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer is for you. You get coverage and color without the hassle of applying a heavy foundation. I love this tinted moisturizer alone or when set with a translucent powder. **Bonus – it provides you with an SPF of 20! But, whether you grab your foundation or a tinted moisturizer, you should always reach for Laura Mericer’s brightening eye powder. This amazing little container of powder will make you look like you’ve had a full night’s sleep when you’ve actually been up all night. I use this daily and I definitely notice when I’ve been rushed and forgotten. It also helps set your concealer, thus, keeping your mascara from transferring onto your under-eye area.

I first used Giorgio Armani’s beauty products 15 or so years ago when it first hit the scene. I immediately fell in love with the Luminous Silk Foundation and the Fluid Sheer. The foundation is lightweight and leaves you with a beautiful canvas for the rest of your makeup. The Fluid Sheer seemed a little strange to use as a bronzer at first, but now it is my chosen method. It’s liquid rather than powder and, in my opinion, is blended much more evenly and subtly. It also comes in a pink that can be used as a liquid blush or eyeshadow and a lighter color that is stunning as a highlighter. With a little practice, you will be portrait ready! The High Precision Retouch falls into the category of concealer but is a good bit lighter than most and, therefore, can be used anywhere on your face without looking like you’re trying to conceal imperfections.

In order for your makeup to look good, you must first take care of the skin underneath. I recently fell in love with the Cold Plasma products from Perricone MD. It has the most amazing firming effect. I’ve used it for 6 months now and my neck and chest look years younger. As for Creme de la Mer, it has a cult following for a reason. This was the first luxury beauty treatment I ever purchased (about 15 years ago) and still stand by it. This was originally created for burn victims, so you know it must be good!
Should your makeup not contain SPF, this setting mist by Supergoop provides you with an easy fix. It also helps keep your makeup in place all day. And, let’s not overlook how nice it feels just to spray something cool on your face during the stifling hot summers we have in the South. Speaking of summers in the South, we Southerners spend a lot of time in shorts, so anything that can make our gams look better is a must-have. The Bum Bum Cream does just that. Now, I don’t suggest that it takes the place of exercise and a healthy diet (neither of which I’ve practiced for far too long) but it does help with the appearance of cellulite when you just don’t have the willpower to eat right and sweat it out. However, if you are someone who is far more dedicated that I, you may just enjoy a yummy body cream to moisturize your beautiful limbs. Laura Mercier makes the most amazing body creams around. My personal favorite is the Creme Brulee but the Almond Coconut linked below smells equally amazing.
Last, but not least,…Lipstick. You can’t put on a full face of makeup and care for the rest of your body without at least putting on a swipe of lipstick before leaving the house. It’s the respectable thing to do. One of my favorite lipsticks these days belongs to Dior. These provide you with long lasting color without drying your lips. They are creamy with the perfect amount of shine, yet do not feel tacky at all.
So, there you have it! My suggestions for purchases during the Sephora VIB Sale or any other time you’re in the market for such items! I hope this has helped you decide what you’d like to spend your hard earned $$ on. I honestly believe that should you choose to try any of the products listed above, you’ll be happy you did. But, on the off chance that you aren’t, Sephora has a great return policy. 😉
Happy Shopping!
